What are your space rental rates?
Since we have a number of different packages, The Taylor-Grady House rental rates are dependent on the date and size of your event. Please refer to the rental guide on the Events, Weddings & Receptions page for more information.
Are there certain days of the week when the price is discounted?
If you are flexible, non-Saturday weddings are considerably less. We offer a weekday rental package or a Sunday afternoon only rental package as well as the Saturday weekend rental package.
Do you all provide any services or can I use my own vendors?
When renting the Taylor-Grady House, you are essentially renting the space only and all services may be outsourced. We have a list of approved and preferred caterers, florists, rental companies and many more.
Can the house be used for both the ceremony and reception?
Yes, often times we host the ceremony and reception at the Taylor-Grady House. The house can accommodate 550 people for an inside-outside event, 210 for an inside reception only, approximately 65 people for an indoor sit-down dinner, and approximately 70-75 people for an indoor wedding ceremony.
I want to come and view the property, do I need to make an appointment?
We recommend that you make an appointment so that we can ensure that the house is open and not previously booked. However, should you drop in during normal business hours, MWF 9 AM - 3 PM or TTH 9 AM - 1 PM, we will make every effort to show you the property and talk wedding details with you!
Are there any fees in addition to the rental fee?
Yes, a security officer is required for all events serving alcohol and for all weekend events ($30/hour). Occasionally, a security officer could be required for a weekday event as well. If you decide to use a caterer that is not listed on our pre-approved list, they will be asked to complete a catering application and pay a $150.00 application fee. The renter may also pre-arrange to waive a portion of the rental deposit to hire the Resident Managers to clean following the event. That cost is $350.00.
What is the deposit and when is it due to secure my date?
The $1,000.00 refundable security deposit is due at the signing of the contract and is required to reserve your date.
What is the payment schedule?
The full rental fee is due no later than 60 days prior to your event.
What is the cancellation policy?
A cancellation of the event prior to six months or more before your date will result in a loss of 25% of the deposit amount. A cancellation of the event within six months or less of the date will result in a loss of the full deposit amount. Cancellation must be submitted in writing to the Taylor-Grady House.
